Our Quality Management System has been 3rd party approved to BS EN ISO 9001 since 2012 and is now integrated with our approved BS OHSAS 18001 and BS EN ISO 14001 Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Health & Safety and Environmental

AFS Ltd is committed to safe-guarding the occupational health, safety, and welfare of all its employees by providing, a safe and healthy environment for all persons affected by the Company operations.

As a responsible employer, AFS Ltd believes that effective health and safety practices contribute directly to the better performance of the Company as a whole. The Company aims not simply to comply with health and safety legislation but to attain higher standards through the adoption of recognised good practices and to provide industry leadership through our health and safety performance. The Directors are fully committed to achieving this by continuously improving the management of the safety and health of its workforce. We believe good health and safety is good business. The Managing Director of AFS Limited holds ultimate responsibility for the Health & Safety Policy. All levels of management and operational staff are required to comply with the Company’s safety rules and procedures and to contribute to their further development. The Directors also recognise that co-operation and consultation at all levels is essential in promoting a positive health and safety culture. In order to achieve the above principles the Company has put in place the appropriate resources and developed in-house systems to achieve the following aim:

Environmental: General Statement of Policy

AFS Ltd is committed to protecting the environment in which we work. The Company not only aims to simply comply with applicable environmental legislation but also strives to attain higher standards through the adoption of recognised good practices.

We will continually improve environmental standards throughout our business. We will raise the environmental awareness and commitment of our employees through structured training and by encouraging the adoption of sound environmental principles. Particular emphasis will be given to the prevention of pollution, the protection of wildlife and their habitats, and the protection of controlled waters. We will endeavour to minimise the environmental impact of our operations through the use of sustainable materials, effective fuels and waste management. We will minimise, as far as is reasonably practicable, the effects of noise, dust, disturbance and inconvenience to others. We will continually strive for improvement in all areas of our environmental performance. AFS’s Managing Director shall be responsible for environmental management. Full copies of AFS HSEE Manual would be made available on written request.
